Allergies and safety
Fairhand never plans a dinner containing an allergen you've entered for anyone in your household. Optional ingredients count too — if a recipe's garnish contains milk, that recipe won't be planned for a household with a milk allergy.
What Fairhand cannot know is how a product was manufactured or handled: brands reformulate, factories share equipment, and "may contain" warnings vary by country and batch. Always read the label on what you actually buy. Fairhand is a planning tool, not medical advice.
If you ever see a dinner planned that contains an allergen you entered, please email us with the recipe name — we treat that as the most serious kind of bug there is.
Common questions
Is my first week really free?
Yes. The first week Fairhand plans for you — the dinners, the recipes, cook mode and the grocery list — stays readable forever, with or without a subscription. A subscription is for a new plan every week, unlimited swaps and regenerating, and household sharing.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Open Settings in Fairhand and tap "Manage or cancel", or go to the Settings app → your name → Subscriptions. If you cancel during a free trial you won't be charged.
If you started a free trial, we send a notification the day before it ends so the charge is never a surprise. If you turn off auto-renew during the trial, we withdraw that reminder.
Someone's diet or allergies changed
Settings → Your household. Add or remove allergies, diets, dislikes, or people at any time. If your saved week no longer works, Fairhand tells you which nights are affected and rebuilds them — rebuilding for safety or for a settings change is always free, whether or not you subscribe.
Why did a dinner disappear from my grocery list?
If a dinner became unsafe for your household after the week was planned, Fairhand leaves its ingredients off the list rather than quietly having you buy them. Rebuild the week from the This Week tab and the list fills back in.
Can two people in my home use it?
Household sharing is coming. One subscription covers everyone in your home — Family Sharing is enabled, so you never pay twice for the same household.
Requesting a refund
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase. If you have trouble, email us and we'll help you through it.
Deleting your data
Fairhand keeps your household and plans on your device (and, once household sharing ships, in your own iCloud). Deleting the app removes them. We don't hold a copy — there's no account to close.
